Big Update on the Buffalo Splashpad Project!
The City of Buffalo secured a DNR grant for improvements at West Pulaski Park, including the splashpad. However, during a required archaeological dig, Native American artifacts were discovered. While this is an incredible find, it means we can’t proceed at this location.
But don’t worry — we have a new plan!
The City of Buffalo has recently purchased the old PenRad building just across the street from our original location for a larger community center space! Our project is being folded in with the community center with plans for the splash pad to open Spring 2027. Better late than never!
How You Can Help:
- Share your support and ideas for fundraising!
- Donate to help us meet future needs.
- Funds are safely held by a local nonprofit and ready to get to work once we find a new home. Stay tuned for updates at our annual fundraiser!
Together, we’ll bring this dream to life.
- This splashpad will use a recirculatory system which means it is better for water conservation. It also means the water will be a little warmer for splashers!
- There will be a small entry fee. This will ensure that the splashpad is self-sustaining. The fee will cover maintenance and usage costs so we don't have to keep fundraising.
- There will be a memorial fountain (circled) to honor Andrew and anyone else who would like to be a part of this.
